Leeds lose lead late on

Leeds narrowly missed their chance to take a firm hold on the 2nd Automatic Promotion place in League 1, losing a 1-0 lead to a 93rd minute equalizer away to Luton. Boss Wise was fuming with the side for giving away a soft goal at the death and slipping up on an extra 2 points.

Leeds travelled to Kenilworth Road on the back of some poor displays and an appalling display at home to Doncaster last weekend - keen to rectify the damage.  The game, whilst scrappy, was a dogged display from Leeds against a resilient Luton that have an excellent record at home.  beckford and Kandol both had chances but it fell to Huntington to open the scoring with a firm header from a set piece.

 Leeds, whislt never dominating the game, were defending well and fighting hard, limiting Luton to long range shots and looked all set for 3 points until the 93rd minute when Parkin got onto the end of a cross from the right and left Ankergren with little chance.

 Leeds were disappointed to leave with only a single point in a game that they looked to have secured three from - but with results around them going in their favour, the Yorkshire side are only a point off second place.
