Simon Grayson confirmed as manager

Leeds United have today confirmed that Simon Grayson has been appointed as manager of Leeds United. Grayson, a former right back at the club who only made a couple of senior appearances for the Whites has moved from Championship club, Blackpool to take up the Elland Road hot-seat.
Blackpool had originally stalled the move by refusing Leeds permission to talk to their manager but talks continued between the clubs and a suitable compensation package was agreed, believed to be around £200k.
The appointment is with immediate effect meaning Grayosn will be in charge for the Elland Road fixture against Leicester on Boxing day, giving him some time to assess his new players before the transfer window opens in January.
