The top two in League 1 met on Saturday in a match that attracted over 30,000 expectent fans - as it was, the game pretty much died a death, with little in the way of the quality that have took these two clubs to the top of the pile.

 If ever a game cried out for a goal, it was this one.  It could have all been so different - early on, a superb pass from Neil Kilkenny split the Charlton defence, but top scorer Jermain Beckford fired wide - it was to prove to be the best chance of the day for the home side..

There was a lot of huff and puff, but the game lacked a spark - there was no real fire in the game, and it reflected in a quiet Elland Road.

Bradley Johnson cut in and fired a right footed screamer that was well saved, but with ex Leeds player Sam Sodje marshalling the visiting defence well, there was little goal mouth action.

The 2nd half was more of the same - Ankergren saving well from Shelby, but little else to get excited about -however, Leeds remain the only undefeated team in all four divisions...
