Leeds fought back from 2 goals down, only to come undone in the penalty shootout. Goals from Barmby and Harte gave Leeds a share of the result

Leeds kicked of the Dublin tournament with a comeback draw, only to lose the penalty shoot out. Leeds were the better side in the first half, Smith had a good penalty shout turned down, whilst Milner should have done better when clean through. Villa were dangerous on the break, but Leeds had more of the play. Hlaftime socre 0-0. After the interval, Villa went 1 up, and had to weather some good Villa play, and a long range goal from Hitzelberger doubled the lead. Crouch went close, hitting the bar, but Leeds didn't give up, and kept battling. We got back into it with a through Barmby, after allback gave the ball away, abnd then it was all Leeds - Harte hit a weak free kick into the wall, but minutes later, redeemed himself with an unstoppable set piece from the edge of the box. Harte missed the first penalty, and although McMaster and Mills were succesful, Mcphails miss allowed Villa the chance to win, which they took - oh well, another game tomorrow, and at least Peter Reid will be happy with the way we came back
