Reid eyes another two signings

Peter Reid is working hard to aquire another 2 players before the tranfer window closes next weekend. A defender and midfield player are believed to be the positions that Reid is hoping to strengthen

Reid yesterday admitted an interest in Soloman Olembe, a Cameoon International currently on the books of Marseille. He is a midfielder, but had fallen out of favour with the French club after being picked to play in an unfamiliar role at right back. There is plenty of interest in the 22 year old, and the boss will have to move quickly to beat off competition. This could be yet another loan move, to go with Camara, Sakho, Domi and Pennant. Leeds are still to spend one penny in the transfer market, with the other signing been that of free transfer Jody Morris.

As revealed yesterday, the other target could well be central defender Carlos Cuellar, currently plying his trade for Spanish second division outfit Numancia. Ried has been impressed with Cuellar, who is currently on trial, and a decision will be made next week.

The future of Danny Mills is still up in the air, with both Birmingham and Middlesboro keen to tie up a loan deal, although mills is rumoured to be holding out for an all or nothing deal - full transfer or he will stay at Leeds. The £4 million asking price, and near £40K a week wages are a major stumbling block though, and Leeds will have to half the transfer fee to offload the former Charlton right back...
