Spurs v Leeds - a reflection

Yesterdays loss was a blow to Leeds, and although the players worked hard, the lack of creativity must be a worry for boss Peter Reid

Alan Smiths early strike was quality, but Spurs' two goals were even better. Leeds can count themselves a little unlucky with the winner, as Matteo was somehow adjudged to have made a foul, yet clearly won the ball - the resulting free kick led to Kanoute's winner. Spurs had by far the majority of the play, but Robinson in goial was never troubled, and was never really called into action all game. The same could be said of Keller, as the battle was fought in midfield. Leeds were all in all a little unlucky, but never did enough to win - With the injury problems, Spurs looked an average side, but were the better team, which shows where we arer at the moment - another impressive game from Smith, and great to see Lennon getting his first bit of match action - there will be plenty more to follow. I expect Pennant to start on Tuesday at the expense of Wilcox, and Domi may come in for Lucas if the Cheifs knees aren't up to 2 games in 3 days. Full match preview to come tomorrow.
