Salomon Olembe - so what are we getting?

Salomon Olembe is undergoing a medical, and is expected to sign tomorrow. Terms have been agreed, and a year long loan, with an option to sign is in place - so who is he?

Salomon Olembe is 22, and a Cameroonian International since the age of 17. He is predominantly midfielder, but can play wing back. He was close to signing for Liverpool a couple of years ago, with the fee believed to be between £7 and £8 million. That fell through, and the fee now is somewhere nearer the £3 million mark. He comes with a high pedigree, and is a creative midfielder, with an eye for an opening. He isn't scared to get into the opposition box, and despite his age, has been a trarget for Fulham, Chelsea, Juventus and Valencia. Leeds would be getting a quality player, and at the right age - I'm sure Peter Reid will be more excited about this signing than any other...
