Reid Latest....

Peter Reid’s future is still clouded in uncertainty this morning. Unconfirmed reports are that Prof McKenzie will make a decision this today.
The press have many conflicting reports, with some claiming that he has agreed a pay off, and others that he will still be in charge. It appears that Mckenzie has been asking the fans for their opinions, and was surprised that the vast majority were not blaming Reid, but the players. This would echo the poll currently running on this site, which shows Reid as firm favourite. The bookies though have Reid odds on to be sacked, and they are rarely wrong, but Radio Aire’s John Bradley is claiming that it is likely he will stay in the job. Once again though, Leeds are in the press for all the wrong reasons, and this whole matter has again not been handled well. McKenzie needs to come out with a very clear statement today and sack him or back him. Anything inbetween (ie we’ll give him a couple of games) would serve no purpose whatsoever. He needs the 100% backing of the board, and that is exactly what most fans would prefer to see. Paul Hart had already been installed as the bookies favourite to take over should Reid go.
