Leeds in new Sex Attack Allegation

We have further news today regarding the two men that have been questioned following an alledged Sex attack in Leeds City Centre on Monday evening.

We can confirm that two players were questioned after eing collected at Thorpe Arch Training Ground yesterday morning. Both were taken to Wetherby Police Station where a third man was also being questioned.

One of the men, a Leeds United player beleived to be a first team regular this season was subsequently arrested and has been detained overnight along with the Unidentified Third man. It is believed he will be released on Police Bail later today. The second Leeds player was released after questioning. The arrested player is being held at Chapletown Police Station. Police and Forensic experts have sealed off a layby on the main A58 Leeds/Wetherby Road and under bright lights, combed the area until late into the night.

Police have so far refused to comment of speculation that the alledged Incident took place at the home of a third Leeds United player about whom, no complaint was made.

The arrests follow allegations by a 20 year old girl that she suffered a serious Sexual Assault on Monday 6th October.

Leeds United have made a brief statement to say that in line with club policy, they are co-operating fully with the Police Investigation and no further comment will be made until the Investigation has been completed and LUFC are made aware of the results.
