Reid axed by lunchtime?????

There is a strong possibility that Peter Reid’s departure may be announced at lunchtime. It is believed that a board meeting was held over the weekend, and all voted for Reid to be axed.

Any announcement would have to be made to the stock exchange first, as Leeds are a PLC – this statement is rumoured to have been prepared this morning, and released at lunchtime. It now seems certain that Reid will go, and if not in the next hour or two, then by the end of the day, or tomorrow morning at the latest. It has been confirmed that Reid did not take training this morning, he is thought to be meeting CE Trevor Birch. Other rumours circulating suggest Eddie Gray could be put in temporary charge – I will keep you informed…
