Strachan to Return??
By Andy Baggott

Gordon Strachan is emerging as the clear favourite to be the next Leeds manager. The Southampton boss is out of contract at the end of the season, and it seems the Saints may be ready to let the Scot go, in return for around £500,000 compensation.
There are plenty of pointers, but the big clue in all of this is the lack of denial. With rumours reaching fever pitch, one word from either Southampton, Leeds or Strachan would kill it dead, but the silence is deafening. I expect the ex Leeds midfielder to be in place next week, and this ties in with the other big rumour doing the rounds, that the Sheik is prepared to invest some major money in us, but Strach has to be on board. At the moment, Southampton are a far stronger club than Leeds, both in terms of league position and finances. For Strachan to jump ship, it would be a major surprise if he wasn’t promised some funds for team building, and assurances that the club is financially firm….. over to you Sheik….
