No Sheik Move.....yet

Leeds United have moved to quash speculation about a potential takeover from a Middle Eastern Consortium headed by Sheik Abdul Rahman bin Mubarak Al Khalifa,
With speculation rife over the weekend, and the Shares rising 94% at one point this morning, a stock market statement was made – it read - The Board of Leeds United PLC notes recent press reports about a potential bid for the Company.
The Board wishes to make it clear that it has received no bid or approach from any party and therefore regards the reports as pure speculation.
To be honest, this kind of statement had to be made. As a PLC they cannot let constant speculation affect the share price without commenting on it. The statement is fairly bland and doesn’t say a great deal. It is still thought that the Sheik is in talks with business men from the Middle East, and there could possibly be some movement in the next week or so….
