Flop Wright goes to Millwall

Leeds midfielder Jermaine Wright today joined Millwall on a 3 month loan deal. The former Ipswich player has been a major disappointment in his time at Leeds, and has slipped down the pecking order.

Leeds fought off interest from Everton to secure the player at the beginning of last season, and big things were expected of him. However, off the field problems last season took their toll, and Wright made little impact. He came back this season with a promise of better things to come, but despite starting the first 3 games, there was little evidence of any improvement, and he hasn’t even made the bench in recent weeks. A parting of the ways seems inevitable, and Blackwell will be hoping to offload him permanently when the transfer window reopens in January.
