Leeds v Southampton - team news

Leeds will asses the fitness of Shaun Derry before naming their side for tonights visit of Southampton. Derry has been arguably the best player so far for Leeds this season, and Blackwell will give him every chance to make the game.

Derry received 5 stitches to a head wound, allegedly after been attacked in tunnel following the Whites 2-1 in over Burnley on Saturday. Gylfi Einarrson is on standby to replace him.
The rest of the side is unlikely to be changed, although ob Hulse and David Healy will both be monitored as they are carrying ankle injuries. Leeds may spring a surprise and move Robbie Blake to right midfield in place of Fraser Richardson, and pairing Hulse with Healy up front. It was this combination that helped Leeds win at the weekend, and Blackwell may go with it from the start. However, this would mean the two forwards were both carrying injuries, so he’s unlikely to go with it.
Leeds need a win tonight to maintain our strong league position, with the next two games against the top two – Sheffield United and Reading.
