Steve Stone, out for almost a full season with a ruptured Achillies is set to make a start for Leeds Reserves this evening as the side entertain Everton Reserves at Elland Road. Kick off is 7pm with free entery to season ticket holders.

Stone signed for the club in the summer but picked up the injury during pre-season and is yet to kick a competative ball for the club.

Stone was a key figure in Blackwells plans for the team and his loss has hit the club hard but with the play-offs beckoning, a fit Steve Stone could be just the player needed to make the difference.

Stone played 35 minutes in the last reserve outing and looked head and shoulders above others in terms of ability. Also likely to the feature is non-league signing, Jermaine Beckford who has scroed 2 in the last four outings.

The reserve matches are currently being played at Elland Road again after the pitch at South Leeds stadium was deemed unsutable a couple of weeks ago.
