Redknapp denies Gazza and Wise move

Portsmouth boss Harry Redkanpp has denied reports that he is interested in bringing Paul Gascoigne and Dennis Wise to the South-coast club.

Speaking to his personal website at bigfanof.com Redknapp admitted he was trying to sign a former England international but neither Wise or Gascoigne are that player.

"Paul Gascoigne and Dennis Wise have been linked with moves to Fratton Park but there's no truth in that.

"I rate both players highly but neither will be coming here.

"It's true that I'm trying to bring in a former England international and things are still on-going with that but its neither of those two.

"Whether it comes off or not is another matter. We will just have to wait and see how things develop."
