Portsmouth can't afford Marcus Stewart

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has ruled out taking Marcus Stewart to Fratton Park.

Stewart was linked with Portsmouth last week and Redkanpp admitted he was interested in the player. Redkanpp now claims that Portsmouth can't afford to buy Stewart.

Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Redknapp admitted he also likes Fabrizio Ravenneli of Derby and thinks one of the two will top the Division 1 scoring charts. "I like Marcus, he's an outstanding player.

"I think he or (Derby's Fabrizio) Ravanelli will be the top goalscorer in the league this year. I wish I could afford him but I can't."
