West Brom want Coventry striker back

West Brom have admitted they want striker Lee Hughes back.

Hughes was sold to Coventry by The Baggies for £5million last summer. Whilst West Brom enjoyed success and promotion to The Premiership, Hughes had a miserable time where he was forced to play on the wing at times.

The Baggies were interested in signing Millwall powerhouse Richard Sadlier but the Irish international is out of action for at least another 2 months.

West Brom's managing director confirmed the interest in Hughes. "Lee is in our thoughts. We are putting a few feelers out with a few clubs."

West Brom could expect to get Hughes at a knock down price as they are still owed £1.5million from the original sale.
