Coventry agree fee with Blackburn

Coventry have agreed a fee with Blackburn Rovers for midfielder David Thompson.

Rover boss Graeme Souness is a big admirer of Thompson and almost made a move in the summer but was put off by the £5million price tag.

It is not known the fee agreed by the two parties but it is expected to be around £3million.

With Lee Hughes also set to leave for West Brom, the Sky Blues could be without 2 of their best attacking options, a move likely to upset the fans.
