Dance DJ Norman Cook, AKA Fatboy Slim, has given his beloved Brighton a £500,000 boost after investing in the clubs shares. Cook now is a major shareholder with 11%

Cook is a massive Brighton fan and his record company, Skint Records, has sponsored The Seagulls for the last two seasons.

With the size of his shareholding, Cook was offered a place on the Brighton board, which was refused.

A club spokesperson said: "We are delighted to have Norman's much-valued support."
