Sheffield United have signed Aston Villa striker Michael Boulding on loan for a month with a view to a permanent deal.
The striker was signed by Villa this summer on a Bosman free transfer after his contract expirede with Grimsby. The Mariners were keen to keep the pacy-frontman at Blundell Park but the lure of the Premier League was too strong for Boulding.
Things havn't worked out at Villa Park though with Boulding failing to make an impression. Boulding will join the team he supported as a boy for a month with a permanent deal likely with the two clubs already agreed on a fee! Blades manager Neil Warnock confirmed the deal to BBC Radio Sheffield. "I spoke to Michael in the summer but he chose to go to Villa instead. "It hasn't quite worked out for him there and, while there were three or four clubs in him, he's chosen to come to Bramall Lane."
