Five Div 1 Players Make The England Under-19s

Five players from Division One teams made the Endland U-19 squad to face Lithuania in the European Championship play-offs. The first being Dean Ashton, the powerful Crewe striker who puts fear into any defence. Darren Carter also got a call up, Carter plays for Birmingham in midfield and only made the first team in febuary. Prestons Andrew Lonergan is expected to take the number one shirt and finally Lonel Morgan, the pacey Womble midfielder, Barnsley's defnder Neil Austin and Portsmouths 18 year old midfielder Gary O'Neil also got call ups. The biggest suprise was Division Threes Kevin Townson who plays for Rochdale. These call-ups won't help their respecttive clubs as they will all miss the last two games of the season.
