Rory Allen Quits Pompey

Pompey were left stunned today when £1 million striker Rory Allen handed in his resignation letter.

Rory Allen a £1 million pound signing from Tottenham handed in his resignation letter today to a shocked Peter Storrie the Chief Executive at Portsmouth.

Allen has been dogged with injurys for a while now and has been missing from training since Pompey's defeat at home to Leicester.

Storrie said about the situation "We will still retain Rory Allen's registration and obviously there is little more we can say till we can actually talk to him."

he also added "Certainly I have never quite come across a situation like this during all my years in football. To say the conduct is somewhat bewildering is an understatement."

According to a report on Sky Sports News , Allen is over in Austrailia watching the ashes.
