Sheff Wednesday have been reported to have made an annual profit of £840,000.
The first bit of news to at least put a little smile on everybody connected to Sheff Wednesday ,the club have announced an annual profit of £840,000.
Turnover increased by 40.2% to £18.55million - compared with £13.23million in 2001.
Match receipts were up by 10.3% to £5.78million with commercial revenues, including broadcasting income, boosted by 60.5% to £12.73million and commercial revenues, excluding broadcasting income, rising by 8.2% to £5million (2001: £4.62million).
In tough times across the Nationwide league this news from Hillsbrough will encourage other debt ridden to follow in the path of Sheff Wednesday.
