Ex Foxes striker Gary Lineker is hoping a bid to save guard the future of Leicester can be completed next week.

Gary Lineker is very hoping of sorting out a rescur package for debt ridden Liecester City some time next week.

Consortium partners Gary Lineker , Greg Clarke and Jon Holmes are hopeful of raising enough money to guarntee the survival of the Walkers Staduim outfit.

A spokesman for the trio said "We held a very successful meeting of potential shareholders this afternoon.

"As a result we are now confident of our funding levels and we will be making a formal offer to the administrators by close of business this week."

Lets hope theres a light at the end of this dark tunnel for Leicester as there is on the pitch at the present moment.
