Pompey In Race For West

Harry Redknapp Pompey manager is reported to be chasing Nigerian defender Taribo West.

Ex Derby defender and Nigerian international Taribo West is being linked with a move to First division leaders Portsmouth.

Harry Rednapp has got major defensive injuries with Arjan De Zeeuw suspended and Gianluca Festa out for three months , and Redknapp is looking to bolster his defence by hoping to bring in West.

West has been training with Portsmouth this week and Harry Redknapp said about the reported move "Taribo has come over and we've had a chat with him. A deal is a possibility.
