Walker keen to play on

Des Walker is still very happy to carry on playing football and for Nottm Forest , he is keen to carry on playing next season and might even be playing top flight football again.

Veteran Nottingham Forest defender Des Walker has hinted he may well extend his playing career by yet another season after a highly successful start to the current campaign.

The former Sampdoria and Sheffield Wednesday star has been nothing short of a revelation so far this season having returned for a 2nd spell at The City Ground, inspiring Forest into the top 6 of Division One.

Despite only being contracted until the summer Walker hopes to be offered an extension to carry on for another season. The Forest Skipper commented: "As long as I keep enjoying it and I can contribute, I don't see why I should stop."

"This is the fittest I have been in my career. We train at a high tempo - the way we play demands that we have to be fit. I have needed to work hard to get that back but with each game, I am getting better.''
