Carlton Cole At Wolves For A Month's Loan

Wolves have completed the loan signing of Chelsea striker Carlton Cole on a month's loan.

Chelsea today agreed to loan young 18 year old Carlton Cole to Wolves for a month's loan.

It's great new for Wolves has their struggling in the forward department with Nathan Blake , George Ndah all missing and Dean Sturridge struggling with 2 knee injurys.

Wolves recalled Adam Proudlock from Tranmere but needed more firepower with only Kenny Miller and Proudlock fit , Cole will go straight into the side for the trip to Rotherham on Saturday.

Trevor Birch speaking on the Chelsea official site said "As everyone knows, Carlton has done excellently this season when he has been given a chance in the first team. But with Eidur Gudjohnsen and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink now back to full fitness and Gianfranco Zola in such good form, he was only likely receive limited opportunity to play in the short term."

"This loan is ideal as he will have the chance to play regularly in a good side at a good level, build his confidence further and hopefully score some goals." Birch also added
