Gillingham are ready to end there interest in star Paul Gascoigne , the reason being there new rich form of goalscoring.

Gillingham's recent good form and goalscoring turn around have all but ended getting former Tottenham, Rangers and Everton midfielder at The Priestfield.

Manager Andy Hessentaler has cooled his interest because of Gillingham's great form of late , with two away wins on the bounce , 3-1 at Bradford and 2-0 at Hillsborough on saturday the Gills boss has no need to bring in Gazza no more.

Hessenthaler said: "We have been waiting to hear from him but we may have reached the cut off point now we have won our last two games."

Gillingham have a home game against Burnley on Saturday, and another victory will lift the Gills within touching distance of Wolves , Rotherham and Watford on 34 pionts.
