Wolves Striker Faces Six Weeks Out

Wolves striker Dean Sturridge faces a heartbreaking six weeks out injured after scans revealed he has torn his calf muscle.

Deane Sturridge will join Nathan Blake on the sidelines as Wolves worries grow day by day , last season's 20 goal hitman has torn a muscle in his calf and faces six weeks out of action.

Wolves worse fears were compounded as the scans were revealed today showing the damage the striker has , he will now wear a special boot similiar to the one Nathan Blake has been wearing to ease the discomfort Dean is suffering.

Manager Dave Jones speaking to the official Wolves website said "Dean was told the news earlier today and he's bitterly disappointed - as are we. It's a blow. It now means that, along with Nathan Blake, we now have two of our top strikers out of action."

Wolves have now 2 fit strikers at the club that being Kenny Miller and Carlton Cole, while Adam Proudlock is onloan at Sheff Wednesday and George Ndah pulled out of training today with the flu and might be doubtful for the home game New Years Day against Derby.
