Former Leicester City player and now club co - ordinator Alan Birchenall donned his black hat and suit for a visit to the Palace , he has just been made an MBE by the queen for the new years honours list.

He has been made an MBE for his services to charity over the years , Birchenall who was a foxes favourite in his playing days is club co ordinator at Leicester which intails pitchside PR work.

He has raised loads of cash for charity and still raises money more then £250,000 with his famous run around Filbert Street.
