Derek Dooley was "delighted and thrilled" after being awarded an MBE for services to Football.

The Sheffield United chairman, a former Wednesday player, said "I cannot tell you what it means to me.

"I am already a freeman of the City of Sheffield - and I have always been proud of that.

"To be horned by your City is one thing, but then to by honored by your country far exceeds any expectations I might have had."
