After 16 long years with the Canaries - Daryl Sutch has said his goodbyes and joined Southend United after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Daryl Sutch has been through everything with Norwich - relegation , promotion , european football but today he left Carrow Road after 16 long years with the club.

He has joined Southend were close mate and former Canary Rob Newman manages , Sutch joined Norwich in 1986 and hasn't looked back since and today was a emotional moment all round.

"I have been associated with the club since I was 12 and never even thought about moving." Sutch told Norwich's official website.

"I've loved being with Norwich and I've got some fantastic memories of my time here, such as the games in Europe." Sutch also added
