Pennock Sadly Retires

Adrain Pennock the Gills defender has sadly had to retire from the game due to continuing knee injuries.

Adrain Pennocks glittering Gillingham career came to an end today has he announced his retirement , Pennock led the Gills out as captain in there promotion year at Cardiff in the 2000 playoff final.

Speaking to local Radio Kent Pennock said "I got told this eight years ago, when I first did the actual knee, that I wasn't going to play again"

"I'm very grateful to the chairman for giving me that chance," he added.
