Owls duo miss Royal Appointment

Sheffield Wednesday boss Chris Turner faces a striker crisis a head of tomorrow's game at Hillsbrough against promotion chasing Reading.

After Chelsea recalled Carlton Cole from his loan spell at Wolves, Dave Jones decided to recall Adam Proudlock from Wednesday to replace the missing Cole. As well as that, Lee Bradbury was called back after he injured him shoulder during Owls South Yorkshire Derby 2-0 win over Rotherham United at Millmoor.

Another striker, Lloyd Owusu (signed from Brentford in pre-season) is still injured and is expected to be fit in February following surgery on his knee. David Burrows will also miss the game with the Royals due to torn hamstring and on top of that ex-Celtic striker Phil O'Donnell is out with a damaged ankle.

To make matters worse for the Owls boss, Matthew Hamshaw is sidelined until September due to a serious knee ligament. It is very likely that Chris Turner will make changes after he was "disgust" at Owls 4-1 defeat to Gillingham at Priestfield Stadium in FA Cup on Tuesday.
