Sheffield Wednesday are still waiting to talk to representitives in there bid to sign Andrei Kanchelskis.

Chris Turner has been given the all clear to talk to Kanchelskis but are still waiting to talk to the player.

With Wednesday signing Darryl Powell yesterday , clubs officials are stalling on talking to Kanchelskis over a loan move to Hillsborough.

Steve Tu the Wednesday spokesman said "It's just speculation. Chris said he's interested in him , but I don't think anything's imminent at all.

"Chris has spoken to Gordon Strachan and he has okayed it, but we haven't managed to speak to either Andrei or his agent yet." Tu also added

Great news for Wednesday they have extended loan deals for Garry Monk and Allan Johnston.
