Mackie's FA charge

Reading defender John Mckie has been charged by the FA over his alleged outburst towards Carl Asaba.

John Mackie has been formely charged over his alleged racial outburst towards Carl Asaba last month when the two sides met.

Mackie quickly made an apology in a press conference a few days later but the FA have seen it as bringing the game into despute , plus it takes the gloss off there work to stop racism in football.

Mackie now has 14 days to respond to the charge.
