Martinez Deal Off

Roberto Martinez's proposed free transfer switch from Walsall to Swansea is off.

Roberto Martinez will not go to Vetch Field has the transfer has been cancelled , the deal would have meant an end to Martinez's short stay at Bescot but was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances.

Brian Flynn speaking on the Swans official website said " In any transfer deal there can always be hiccups along the way and it looks that way with Roberto, but it's not over with yet. Unfortunately he's headed back to Walsall and it's not going to happen today as we had hoped, but I'll be talking to Roberto and Colin Lee later and hopefully we will be able to resurrect the deal."

Swansea have signed Lenny Johnrose after missing out on Martinez so it softerns the blow a little.
