O Neil - Deepdale Switch

Preston have completed the signing of Brian O Neil on a two and a half year deal.

Brian O Neil has arrived on a two and a half year deal at Deepdale and will go straight into this weekends game at home to Gillingham.

Chairman Derek Shaw speaking to the clubs official site said "Brian is the right type of player we need at this club, he had an offer to go to America but we matched that offer."

"We are not concerned about his age, although he is 30 he is able to look after himself well." Shaw also added

O Neil has been on loan at Deepdale and has impressed Preston boss Craig Brown during his stay, that prompting Brown to talk about a permanent move which has been completed today.
