Ipswich have denied reports Sunderland are set to make a move for there free transfer midfielder Martin Reuser.

Ipswich have denied reports Sunderland are ready to make a move for there out of favour midfielder Martin Reuser.

Reuser who has been dogged by injury all season is surplus to requirments at Portman Road and has been told he can leave on a free.

An Ipswich Town spokesman said "That is pure speculation at this moment. We've had no interest in Martijn Reuser from Sunderland or anybody else at this stage."

Reuser was a massive success in there Premier League relegation season ,but injury and a lack of fitness this season as prompted Ipswich to let him go.
