Owls Sign Barry-Murphy

Sheffield Wednesday boss Chris Turner has bolstered his squad by taking over the contract of Preston's left-sided utility player Brian Barry-Murphy.

The 24-yar-old links up with Turner for a second spell this season - the Owls chief had him on loan basis when he was in charge of Hartlepool United.

No fee was involved for Barry-Murphy who made nine starts for North End, with a further 19 appearances as a sub.
