Dario Gradi, the Crewe manager, hopes his team can give it a good go at trying to send Sheff Wed down. Crewe need a nine goal swing at the bottom of the table if they want to play first division football... Dario reckons it's unlikley but he will give it a go.

Dario Gradi's Crewe are more or less down and only a nine goal swing in their favour would see them survive. Crewe need to score as many as they can against Rotherham and hope Wolves don't conceed against Sheff Wed and put some past Pressman. Should the two score lines end up something like this, 4-0 and 5-0, that would send Sheff Wed to division two. Dario reckons it's still a possibility but it's very unlikley... “There is a still a loop hole in the relegation battle and we will be having a go. We know it is a tall order but we will try and get after them from the first whistle and see what happens. “We have an outside chance and the adventure continues. It’s unlikely but possible for us to score four or five. We just want to give the supporters a good send off and make a good occasion for them because they have been terrific again this season. It should be an exciting day. He added: “I will tell the players to go and enjoy it. There will be no pressure on them and the tension will be on Rotherham more than us. First and foremost I want to win the game, even it is 1-0 because they will be a morale boost for the players and to a certain extend the fans. “It certainly won’t be a game for experiments.” |
