Lineker Successful In Bid

The consortium lead by Gary Lineker has been successful in there attempts to buy out Leicester City.

Lineker's consortium have staved off rival bidders to land the chance to save his Foxes, Lineker had to prove to administrators that they would be able to raise the funds to take them out of administration.

The Legal side of the deal is likely to be completed at the end of the week , John Holmes will take charge of chairing the board.

Gary Lineker spoke out saying "It was never an ego thing. It's never been about Gary Lineker, it's about Leicester City."

It's the end of a horror saga for Leicester and with them sitting pretty in 2nd place in Division One , Lineker and co can take this club forward and play Premier League football without any debts hanging over them.
