Preston hitman Ricardo Fuller has returned from America in which he has had successful knee surgery.

Ricardo Fuller has flown back from America after having great success in his bid to beat a nasty knee injury , but there's still a long road ahead of him in getting fit for the new season in August.

Fuller has been out of action since the injury flared up in November , before that Fuller was banging in the goals which saw Preston up the table ,but since his departure the Lilywhites have faded and there near the bottom half of the table, but luckily for them there not really involved in a relegayion scrap.

Boss Craig Brown told The Lancashire Evening Post "It's great to have Ricardo back, but we know it will be a long time before we see him playing again.

"He faces a lot of hard work to get back to full fitness, but he is a dedicated professional and we know he will do everything asked of him.

"Everything is positive about Ricardo. The boy has done very well and the operation has been a huge success. Now it is just a case of waiting for him to recover."
