Referees' chief Phillip Don has spoken out about video replays after Trevor Francis called for their use after his side were robbed yesterday by a dubious decision.
Francis' side were yesterday robbed after a shot by Tommy Black clearly crossed the line but the referee & his assistant both failed to spot the ball clearly over the line.
Don said "The problem is that FIFA has said you can't use cameras because you will always have a situation where you wouldn't be 100 per cent certain, for instance if you have got two or three bodies on the line, whether the ball has crossed the line.No camera, wherever it is in that goal, would be able to detect that."
Palaces conquerers,Premiership side Leeds, were today drawn in the FA Cup Quarter Finals against fellow Division One side Sheffield United.
