Town Duo On The Comeback Trail.

Ipswich defenders John Mcgreal and Mark Venus are on the comeback trail and hope for a return to action very soon.

John Mcgreal is hoping to get a quick comeback when turning out for Ipswich in there home game against Wolves tommorow , Mcgreal has been out since December with a knee ligament damage and has crossed fingers on returning tommorow.

Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times Mcgreal said "It has been a long time, 10 weeks today, not that I have been counting the days.

"I thought I would be back sooner and it has been a long hard road back but now I'm ready and looking forward to playing." Mcgreal added

Mark Venus is close to a return after a two month layoff due to a knee injury , Venus stated last week he was not sure if he could continue playing due to the injury.

Venus has pencilled in a March return after a successful operation to clear cartligde speaking to the Ipswich official site Venus said "I am on the mend now and it's coming on fine.

"I'm pleased with the way it's going and hopefully I will be back playing in three or four weeks." Venus added
