Blades Eyeing Beasant

Sheffield United are in the hunt for Brightons veteran goalkeeper Dave Beasant as they seek cover for their goalkeeping department.

Dutchman Wilko De Vogt has recently left the Blades in search of regular first team football which has left Neil Warnock with little cover for first choice stopper Paddy Kenny.

Warnock is looking for an experienced keeper as they seek promotion whilst also looking to progress in the FA Cup.

Speaking of Beasant,Warnock said "Dave and his agent both know that we are a goalkeeper short here and I have left it in their hands to see if they want to come and join us.He would be ideal for us because he has so much experience, is a very good goalkeeper,he is not cup-tied and he would come here on a free transfer which would mean I still had three loan signings available to me."

However,Beasant is not the only new player being lined up to join United.Warnock will look to utilise his final three loan signings by bringing in a left back and a centre half.
