Hornets Plan Ahead

Watford manager Ray Lewington is planning on signing a Premier League player before they play the winners of Fulham or Burnley in there FA Cup tie at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets manager has been very impressed with previous loaned players like Danny Webber from Manchester United and Jermaine Pennant from Arsenal.

Lewington is hoping that the big clubs of the Premier League will yet again allow him to take on their young talent on loan before there FA Cup tie on 9th March.

He said: "I want someone who can come in and give us something special. The bigger clubs with the massive squads are more likely to give you a loan player.

"Webber and Pennant are two good examples of good young players we've had the benefit of, and I have been going to Premiership clubs.

"We have to go into the Premiership and hope they're generous. You always go to those clubs because you get the better kind of player who won't be needed."
