Walsall boss is set to be without Vinny Samways again for the trip to Stoke because Samways international clearance has not arrived yet.

Colin Lee's hopes of strenghing his squad in time for there short trip to Stoke have been blown apart due to the continuing red tape saga of new signing Vinny Samways.

Samways joined Colin Lee last week but has still yet to get international clearance , according to reports the Spanish take all the time in the world to sort out this stuff there end, as Coventry found out with the Vicente Engonga deal which took about two weeks to sort out.

Lee was hoping to get Samways and Carl Robinson together for the trip to The Brittania but all that has faded and it may be Lee will be without Samways for the trip to Bradford at the weekend as well.

Roy Whalley Saddlers cheif executive said "The application didn't go in until Thursday afternoon, so I suppose it was always unlikely that we would receive clearance for this game. The Spanish FA, like the Brazilians, can be slow in processing these matters and we just have to wait patiently for it to come through."
