Johnson Out For Six Weeks

David Johnson has been hit with the news he will miss six weeks of Forest's promotion push due to having to undergo a knee operation.

Johnson suffered a tear to a posterior cruciate ligament and will be on the sidelines until around mid april.

It's a massive blow for manager Paul Hart seeing his top scorer out at just the time he didn't need it , Darren Huckerby will possible take over from Johnson up front with Marlon Harewood.

Hart speaking to the Forest official site said "Nobody wants to lose a player of David's calibre for any length of time," he said.

"But while we are bitterly disappointed about that, we are relieved we have got to the bottom of his problem and that he can get himself back to full fitness as quickly as possible."

"There was no need for major surgery and the fact he has been able to carry on playing for the last month after suffering the injury at Wimbledon means it is not too serious." Hart added
